SAMPLE 1 - March 22nd 2026

Life. Mother Earth. The creator. As a mother, she had three children. The first, Love, most beloved of all. The last, Death, the unavoidable sidekick to Love that makes her that much more sweet. And finally, the middle child, War.War felt jealous of his siblings, the ones who got all the fame, attention, got what he wanted more than anything without even having to ask. This jealousy festered inside him, eventually turning from frustration to anger, fueling his tyrannical actions. He seized thrones, places of power, all to spread the devastation of War across the land.To him, he was just a poor soul, taking revenge on what had caused him such pain. If he made the people bow to him, he would never be lonely again, right? Surely you felt surrounded by people at the top....Surely?

SAMPLE 2 - November 14th 2025 w/ edits

The two, Shadow and Cream, stood there, looking each other dead in the eye before turning away from each other, pistol in hand. After a moment of silence a countdown is heard, letting them both know that there's no backing out now.1.2.3.They both walk 3 paces.4.5.6.3 more.7.8.9.It feels like there's a few seconds before the last number.10.There was definitely tension in that moment, almost too much of it.FIRE!They both turn around and two gunshots go off. This side of the Wild West is silent for once. Until... the black hedgehog fell over. The young rabbit had done it. She'd defeated the Ultimate Sharpshooter at his own game.

Sample 3 - April 2nd 2026

Tails opens the door to his workshop, backpack lazily slung over his shoulder. He looks over at the couch to see Sonic had let himself in and made himself at home. Sonic noticed the young fox and gave him a smile as he waved in his direction, being surprised when it wasn’t returned. Tails dropped his bag near the door, trying to ignore Sonic’s attempts to interact with him. He just wasn’t in the mood. He went over to his bedroom’s doorway before he heard a voice behind him.“What’s up buddy?”Tails turned around to see Sonic had stood up from his careless lounging and made his way over to him, debating whether to put a gloved hand on his little brother’s shoulder.“Not now, Sonic.”Sonic cocked his head to one side. He knew Tails had a small temper, but he wouldn’t usually push him away like this.“What, you busy or something?”“No.”“Then what’s wrong?”Tails wasn’t happy that Sonic wasn’t letting the topic go. He just wanted to collapse on his bed and not worry about anything. He didn’t want to listen to Sonic’s questions about the Tornado, what new badnik Eggman was cooking up, or where he had found a Chaos Emerald this time. It would have to wait.“Tails?”“I don’t want to talk, Sonic. It’s gonna have to wait.”“Y’know I’m not the waiting type, Tails! Whatever’s on your mind, I wanna hear it. So I can help! That’s why I’m your big bro.”“I don’t care Sonic!”Sonic’s eyes widened at this new advancement. This wasn’t Tails. He’d known him for so long, and he’s never been like this. Well, maybe one time before, but that was on an alien planet. ... Okay maybe twice. But still, Tails wasn’t usually like this. It only made Sonic more intrigued about what had happened, dare he say concerned.“Who are you.”“W-What?”Now Tails was the one concerned. Sonic was rarely this serious. What was happening?“You’re not Tails. Where’s my brother.”“Sonic, I don’t understand! I’m Tails!”Sonic pointed an accusatory finger at the fox. He very obviously wasn’t believing him.“Tails is never this silent. He’d let me be there for him, he wouldn’t go straight to his bedroom all quiet. He’s stubborn, but he knows I’m there for him. So, what’s your plan, huh? Didn’t expect me to be here?”“Sonic, what are you saying?!”“Don’t try to keep up the act now! If you’re not my brother, get out of his house!”“But I am Tails! I don’t understand what’s happening!”“Don’t make me make you get out of here!”A moment of silence stung between them. Tails stood there, looking at Sonic. He felt... heartbroken. His own brother trying to kick him out of his own house. Just because he didn’t believe he was the real him. Tails felt his eyes watering up, bringing a gloved hand to his face to wipe it away. This wasn’t a moment to cry. He needed to be strong. He needed to be...Through his now foggy vision, he saw Sonic relax a bit. Wait, had he realised his mistake? Or was he thinking something else? As Tails tried to stop himself from crying, he felt two arms wrap around him. By Gaia, why did Sonic do that? Does he know how much harder it is not to cry now?“It’s okay buddy. I... I’m sorry.”Tails tried to reply but found himself at a loss for words. He wanted to apologize himself, as it was his fault for not trusting Sonic in the first place, but he could only find the energy to let more tears rush onto Sonic’s chest. The arms gripped him tighter, not seeming to want to let go any time soon.Even then, Tails expected to be let go in 1, maybe 2 minutes but no, Sonic just stayed there. Was he being patient for once? He just started to get comfy on Sonic’s chest before he felt his feet come off the ground. Tails opened his eyes again, coming to realise that Sonic had lifted him up and walked towards the couch once again, sitting down with him in his arms. Once Sonic had sat down, he reached over for a phone on the other side of the couch, turning it on and looking at something. The two sat like this for a few more minutes, with whatever Sonic was doing on the device being a hard decision by the looks of it. Tails took the opportunity to sit and think, slowly becoming calmer until Sonic spoke up again.“I’m getting takeout. You want something particular?”Tails sat looking up at Sonic, forming a response in his mind. He knew Sonic knew what his favourite was, so if he wanted something different, he would need to speak up now. Though, when he thought about it, it seemed to be the best option, so he just nodded, getting a smile from Sonic.“Sweet. It’ll probably be here in like 20 minutes or something. You wanna have some time in your room or...?”Tails liked the sound of that offer. He did want that time to himself earlier. But then he realised he should probably tell Sonic what the whole issue was now before it becomes another situation later.“I... I think I should talk.”Tails didn’t speak very loudly, but it didn’t phase Sonic much.“Well, then I’m here to listen. What’s up?”Tails thought over his words for a second before finally answering Sonic’s question.“I... It’s school.”“School? But you’re a whiz kid. Wait... You got bullies again?”Tails shook his head at Sonic’s theory. People wouldn’t mess with Sonic’s brother any day of the week.“No. It’s not that. It just takes a lot of my energy. Like most days I come home and lay on my bed unless I know you need me for something.”Sonic nodded his head as Tails spoke, letting it be known that he was listening and understanding.“Dang. That doesn’t sound all too good. Any way I can help?”“I... I don’t know. It’s kinda just how it works. I can’t think of how you could help.”Sonic thought hard about what Tails was saying. He didn’t want his little bro to be struggling with school instead of having fun doing what he wanted. If all his energy was being spent on that, then he wouldn’t be able to make any more cool inventions or whatever he did in his free time. Don’t ask Sonic what Tails did, he didn’t know much.“Well... Maybe you need a break.”Time off... Tails hadn’t thought about that. Mainly because he couldn’t do that without getting fined, big time. But with Sonic by his side...“You would do that for me?”“Sounds like you need it. No one’s gonna question me anyway, so...”In that moment, Tails felt an intense weight lift off of him. The mere thought of not having to go to school tomorrow, it was soothing. It calmed him, made his worries wash away so suddenly. Was that really all it took, removing school from the equation? Sonic set Tails next to him before leaning back, staring off into space.“Y’know Tails, I don’t like this whole school thing.”“What?”Why was it always Sonic to be the one to confuse him? He always acted on impulse, so it was basically impossible for him to be predictable.“School. I don’t really like it. I remember reading a book about how this whole thing was made just to make kids good workers. Like why haven’t we changed that yet?”Tails supposed that was a good point. If what Sonic said was true, that ideal wouldn’t really fit the modern day.“I’m pretty sure there’s like... special schools.”“Doesn’t that just prove it’s possible though?”Sonic said it so casually, but it was true. If there were schools already changing the system, then why couldn’t all schools do that? Tails tried to think of a reason against it, but he couldn’t fathom one. Sonic always thought so... abstractly. It really was a nice change of pace.“Letting my absolute genius sink in?”Sonic smirked.“No. Well... Maybe.”“Ha! Knew it.”Tails sat there for a second, before speaking up with his own idea.“Do you think we could help change schools?”“You bet! You’ve saved the world lots of times, you can do it, for sure.”Tails smiled at that idea. Maybe he could help kids like him. He instantly started to get excited at the new opportunity before Sonic took him out of his thoughts.“You got any ideas yet?”“Not yet... But I think I could sketch up something. Let me get my graph paper.”Sonic watched Tails scamper off to his bedroom, a proud gleam in his eye. He sat in the silence for a second before muttering to himself.“You’re gonna be great buddy.”

Sample 4 - November 25th 2025

The four of them stared at what was happening in front of them, not knowing what to think. It was basically pure silence before…“WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?” Shadow shouted, turning around to his friends for answers.“It seems to be a mini black hole.” Ami stated, as monotone as ever as she stepped towards Shadow. “It’s sucking up the surrounding material. It may begin to-”“CUT. TO. THE. CHASE.” Shadow cut her off, making a pretty good point through his brash actions.“I was getting to it.” Ami said, barely holding her anger in.“GET TO IT THEN.”“It may grow as it collects surrounding material and eventually destroy our world from the inside out.”There was more silence as people processed the possibility.“How are you calm about that?” Vlad, the ever-wide-eyed young boy asked.“I must think of a solution to this problem. Freaking out will only hinder my efforts.”Vlad put a hand up to his chin, thinking aloud.“Okay, so how are we gonna stop a black hole-”“SHADOW WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” Ami cut him off, seeing Shadow jumping towards the black hole floating in the middle of the room.As Shadow made contact with it he fell to the ground, feeling strange.“Wh-Where is it?” He took a revolver out while standing up, slightly woozy.“Shadow what were you thinking?! It’s in you now!” Ami started to lecture to him.“What?” Shadow was able to get in edge ways.“You have the Absolute Solver!” Ami declared, her patience definitely starting to run thin.Shadow’s eyes widened at the realisation, looking around to check if Ami was right. It was nowhere to be seen. Just as Shadow was getting lost in his thoughts, the building started to cave in. He thought about an insane option he had, one that seemed more tempting by the second, before turning to his friends.“Go.” He simply said.“We are going to go. I’m not done talking to you.” Ami ordered, in a slight bit of denial.“No. Go. Without me.”“Without you? Not a chance. You’re coming with us whether you like it or not.”“No. I have the Absolute Solver. If I stay here, we can destroy it.”“YOU’RE NOT GOING TO KILL YOURSELF ON MY WATCH.”“It’s the only way-”“NO IT ISN’T. You and your hopeless little mentality is coming with me and we’re going to sort this out one way or another. And that is NOT by killing ourselves.”“It’s okay, Ami. It’s his choice.” Rudy tried to defuse the situation.“His choice? His choice?! You’re going to run away and let Shadow die!?” Ami responded, in slight disbelief of how her friend was acting.“I-It’s what he wants.”“I don’t care what he wants right now, Rudy. I don’t want him to kill himself. It’d make me feel like a failure of a friend. I’ve dealt with the Absolute Solver before. I can help him. I promise.”As Shadow watched his two friends argue, he felt his grip on reality slowly but surely slip away. Was it the stress? Or something else emotion wise? No. It was much worse. He tried to put his revolver down, but it was too late. His arm swung up and took aim at Vlad, only missing him because Ami noticed and kicked him off aim at the last second.“Shadow, stop it.” She ordered before taking a proper look at the situation.Ami looked at Shadow’s face to see something that she had never seen there before. True fear. She’d seen him slightly scared before from his nightmares but this... This was new.“I... apologise, Shadow.” Ami muttered for the first time the group had ever heard, looking away from him. After a few seconds she collected herself and got back to business. “Rudy, Vlad. Get away from here. It’s dangerous. Look out for rubble on the way to the exit.”Rudy nodded, jogging towards Vlad and heading with him to the way out.“Shadow.” Ami said, looking back at him, seeking his attention. “Are you sure you want us to leave you here?”After some hesitation, Shadow answered, almost whispering.“Yes. I’d just set it free again when I inevitably meet my end, let alone the people I could kill. I want to end it, here and now.”“I see now it is.” Ami accepted, sounding slightly choked up all of a sudden. “Then thank you, Shadow. For everything. I’m sure this makes you a hero. More of a hero than the rest of us. If I can promise you one thing, it’s that you’ll be missed in this world, even if you weren’t in your old one. This is your new home.”Shadow was slightly speechless at what Ami was saying. He knew she was just trying to bring him some sort of closure in his last moments, but it surprisingly did more than he would have ever expected.“Then I should also thank you, Ami. And make sure Rudy and Vlad hear that too.”“Will do. Wherever you end up next Shadow, I wish you the best.”“Same here.”“I... guess this is goodbye, Shadow.”Shadow noticed a single tear on Ami’s visor as she spoke. He didn’t expect her to be so sad to see him go. I suppose goodbyes are full of surprises.“It is.” Shadow paused for a second, taking in Ami’s expression while he could still control himself and also to think of what to say. “Goodbye Ami.”Ami also paused to think of what to say while reaching into her left jacket pocket and taking out a simple daisy. ... Had Ami expected this day to come all this time? She knelt down, putting it out of arm’s reach from Shadow. She went to say her final piece but hesitated when she heard Shadow’s grapple hook go off. Shadow had launched it under a falling wall to trap himself, silently letting Ami know that her time here was up if she wanted to go after Rudy and Vlad.“U-Understood. Goodbye, Shadow.”Ami gave a quick nod before turning to run out of the building as it truly started caving in, having to dodge and weave her way to the exit, leaving it to the last second to leave Shadow be. As she got to the entrance, Vlad and Rudy were waiting for the two of them, surprised to see only one escape the rubble.“Ami, where’s Shadow-” Vlad started to ask.“Gone. He... He’d made up his mind. I couldn’t change it.” Ami admitted. There was silence between the remaining trio for a few moments before they heard a rope snap inside the almost fully collapsed building. Ami took out a small blade from her jacket, powerfully stepping back towards where she exited the building. She stood there, waiting for something, anything, to appear. Then, she saw it. Flying straight towards her. Shadow with a pair of wings and the Absolute Solver symbol across his visor. Dammit. Ami prepared herself to engage with... Shadow? The Absolute Solver? An ungodly abomination of the two? It was definitely a conundrum. But not what was important right now. She just needed to hold him off, maybe she could wait until he came back to reality and then-CRASH.The last of the rubble fell on top of the strange Shadow-Absolute Solver fusion. That... That was it. It was done. But Shadow... Ami shook herself out of her thoughts, turning to Rudy and Vlad. Oh my robo-god. Vlad... Vlad looked traumatized. Rudy looked a little better, but still. Ami ran over towards them, as she was still the group leader after it all.“Vlad, Rudy.” Ami paused for a second, letting them process and refix their attention on her. “How are you feeling?”The two of them stood there silently, which Ami expected. They had just watched two drones die gruesomely in the early hour of the day, and they were friends with one of them.“It’s fine. We can go back to the base. We also need to get you home, Vlad. I remember your mom saying that she wants you back safe when all this is done.”Vlad stood there for a second as Rudy and Ami started walking away from the site.“M-Miss Ami...?”Ami turned around to see that Vlad hadn’t moved a step.“Yes, Vlad?”“D-Do you want to stay where I live? I... I don’t want you to leave me too.”Ami thought about what Vlad had said for a good few seconds, finding that he had a good point, especially when her and Rudy didn’t need to wander anymore now that their goal was complete.“Sure. Me and Rudy can move in.” Ami gave in, smiling for the first time that day.Vlad stayed silent at that response. Hmm... She must have said something wrong... Oh. Rudy. Shadow and Vlad had always seemed to stay their distance. They must not be used to having a human by their side.“I’m sure you’ll warm up to Rudy. Rudy is kind and very considerate, I promise.” Ami explained, trying to put Vlad’s suspicions to rest.“O-Okay.” Vlad accepted. It didn’t ease Ami’s thoughts on their relationship, but she decided to accept it for now.“Anyhow, we still need to get you home. Let’s go work on that, hm?” Ami suggested.Vlad nodded, following the two of them this time as they continued to walk towards the cold, morning sunrise.

Sample 5 - April 21st 2026

The game opens to SILVER coming through a portal on Rhea Island, looking around in wonder.SILVER
The Starfall Islands… They’re beautiful…
SILVER continued to admire the scenery until he put a serious look on his face.SILVER
No. I need to find Sonic. To make sure he’s safe.
SILVER swiftly looked around before deciding to go towards a forest. After SILVER travels for a bit, he finds a titan.SILVER
Woah, buddy. You’re quite big. What about if we… leave each other be, huh?
The titan notices SILVER, causing them to attack.SILVER
Okay! I guess not!
SILVER fights the guardian with quite a bit of difficulty, getting it down to low HP to trigger a cutscene.SILVER gets trapped under an attack, having to hold it off with a force field. Out of nowhere, he gets saved by a mobian figure, but he was unable to make out who it was.SILVER
Huh? Who are you!?
The figure walked up to SILVER, revealing themselves as SHADOW.SILVER
Shadow?! What are you doing here?
SHADOW
I could ask you the same question.
SILVER
… Okay, that’s fair. Let me just ask you; do you know where Sonic is?
SHADOW
Why would I know Sonic’s location?
SILVER
I don’t know. I’m just looking for him. There’s some records from my time that talk about how he got into some trouble here.
SHADOW
Seriously? You’re protecting Sonic from his own recklessness? It’s unnecessary. He needs to learn.
SILVER
No. The records say he might have died here. That’s why I think my future is messed up this time. It’s a dystopian city under Eggman’s rule! I need to make sure Sonic lives to save the future!
SHADOW
… I suppose I can help you with that.
SILVER
You- You can?
SHADOW
If it helps my promise. Then yes.
SILVER
Don’t worry. I won’t let you down!
SHADOW crossed his arms and thought to himself, not responding to SILVER for a few seconds.SHADOW
I’ve seen other robot mechs on the other islands. I wouldn’t suggest destroying them. We should leave the ruins as close to as we found it as possible. But I would think you’d still need to get stronger to take them. Your abilities have a lot of possibilities you haven’t explored.
SILVER
So you’re saying… You’re planning to train me?!
This possibility excited SILVER.SHADOW
… If you want to put it that way, I won’t stop you. I don’t know the full potential of your power, but I can help you explore those possibilities.
SILVER
G-Got it! I’ll try my hardest!
SHADOW
Good. For now, I’d like you to help me turn on these few towers.
SILVER
These? Why?
SHADOW
They supposedly are the switch to the ancient’s databases. If we turn them on, we should be able to access the data and information stored in it.
SILVER
How do you know that?
SHADOW
… I have my sources.
SILVER
Who? Eggman?
SHADOW
You think I would be idiotic enough to trust anything that comes out of that doctor’s mouth?
SILVER
Well… No. But I can’t be sure what your ‘source’ is. I don’t know if you’re being paid or tricked or-
SHADOW
I don’t get ‘tricked’ anymore. I’ve already made that mistake once. I won’t make it again.
SILVER
… Don’t worry, I get it. I just… don’t wanna be tricked either.
SHADOW
… Fine. G.U.N. sent me here. They’ve found structures around the islands that look like they could hold the Chaos Emeralds. We think that there could be a past, undiscovered civilisation that lived here.
SILVER
G.U.N.? I thought you stopped working for them.
SHADOW
Why do you have to ask about every little thing?
SILVER
Sorry...
SHADOW
It's... fine. Just don't do it again.
SILVER
Well… thanks for telling me, I guess. I-I’ll get going.
SILVER sped off, not waiting for anything SHADOW might follow up with.SHADOW
Maybe he needs some social training too...

Sample 6 - March 9th 2026

Shadow and his deputy are doing target practice. They seem to be a weaker shot than their mentor.S: "What are you doing?"The deputy almost drops the gun in surprise at hearing Shadow, turning to face him.S: "You're missing all your shots."D: "Well- I-"S: "Aim."The deputy complies, pointing the gun back at the target. Shadow takes a stance next to them, putting an arm out to help with their aiming.S: "Close one eye and put your dominant arm straight to your body. And don’t flinch so much, control the gun and keep steady. You'll lose your shot otherwise."The deputy looks dead at the target, trying their best to aim at the centre. They take the shot, holding their breath before missing the target again. They look pretty bummed, looking at Shadow for his reaction.S: "Aim higher, but not too by much. Bullets still follow the laws of physics."The deputy nodded and turned back to the target once more as Shadow stood back, letting them do it on their own. The bullet hits the target dead almost in the centre, much to their own excitement.D: "I… I did it!"S: "You did. All I can hope is that won't be a one-time thing."D: "Don’t worry. I'll keep practicing!"Shadow smiled slightly at their response. It seemed he was happy at the deputy's determination and endurance, even through failure.
